Product search as an application domain for the olfactory circuit, and unusual in using measured wiring rather than the random projection the FlyHash literature assumes. A product's name and category become a 384-dimensional text embedding, PCA reduces it to 51 components, each assigned to one glomerulus, and the measured FlyWire v783 projection-neuron to Kenyon-cell matrix produces activity in 4,678 Kenyon cells of which the top 5%, 234 cells, form a sparse code. The page is explicit that the product odour is invented and that the model is not trained on real clicks.
