A fixed fly-derived steering core is dropped into bodies with different motion limits to see what the body changes. The core is checked against the source authors' own notebook first: PFL population activity is bit-identical and the steering command agrees to 3.4e-14. The headline finding is then retracted: with command noise switched on, the ideal body succeeds in all 144 baseline trials, so "body limits rescue the core" was an artifact of the deterministic protocol. What survives is the reverse - a lagging body can low-pass the neural noise - and no body axis has a main effect.
