Runs the controls the viral "fly brain plays DOOM" videos skipped. For the trained project, 100 seed-matched games per arm on five ViZDoom scenarios score the same with the real wiring, wiring rewired at random, and no wiring at all (19.1 / 19.6 / 19.3 kills on defend-the-center). For the untrained 166,700-neuron one, scrambling its 25.6M connections cuts survival from 53 s to 7 s, yet a brainless robot that just turns right, walks and shoots lasts as long (52 s, 12 kills). A positive control remains: in the Shiu model sugar drives motor neuron MN9 at 66 Hz wired, 0 Hz scrambled.
