Six flies share one 3D world, three running FlyWire v783 and three running MaleCNS v1.0, both under the leaky integrate-and-fire model of Shiu et al. on an event-driven CPU engine, so one world is inhabited by two different measured nervous systems at once. The rule the project holds itself to is stated first: the world code never moves a fly. The world turns physical situations into sensory input and reacts to what the flies do; every movement is read out of simulated neurons. It runs a hundred simulated days, with a sugar-to-motor-neuron validation recorded before the world was built.
