Code and pre-registrations behind a preprint that scores the Shiu et al. whole-brain leaky integrate-and-fire model against experimental data instead of celebrating it. The benchmark plans, their criteria and their time-stamped amendments are committed before the runs; a whole-brain single-neuron knockout screen of the feeding circuit runs twice (all active neurons, then ten seeds with FDR) to diagnose where knockout predictions fail, and a Male CNS v1.0 build repeats it. The NumPy/SciPy re-implementation is validated against the original Brian2 code, and no connectome data is redistributed.
