An independent reproduction of the Shiu et al. 2024 whole-brain model on a fixed FlyWire v630 graph of 127,400 neurons and 14,687,178 directed connections, followed by a habituation study. Three one-second trials per condition give a proboscis motor neuron rate of 0 Hz with no input, 67.67 Hz on average under sugar, and 6.67 Hz when bitter input is added; rerunning with the same seed reproduces the spike files down to their checksums. The author calls this a small qualitative reproduction and reports that repeated stimulation showed no decrement until local short-term depression was added.
