A MaleCNS-derived circuit fights the tutorial boss of Dark Souls III through SoulsGym, and the README reports two runs as separate claims because they are. Letting the circuit's own descending pools choose actions, with three-factor dopamine plasticity on Kenyon-cell to MBON synapses, won 8 fights out of roughly 5,200, and the trend over 1,720 fights of the final circuit is flat at 0.0 plus or minus 0.4 points per 100 fights: it can win, and it does not learn to. Fitting a Double-DQN outside the brain instead won 737 of about 6,300, which the author labels plainly as not the fly's learning.
