The Fly Hears

Say a digit into your microphone and watch it travel through roughly 30,000 simulated neurons wired by 1,348,769 signed connections taken from MaleCNS. Sound is measured in 32 frequency bands, an engineered mapping turns those into stimulation, the wiring stays fixed, and only a small logistic-regression reader is trained, which the README labels reservoir computing. Across 3,000 recordings from six speakers, held out by speaker, fly wiring scores 70.0 percent clean and scrambled wiring 69.7 percent, with the order reversing under added noise. Only one scrambled graph was evaluated.
