The Fly's Escape Switch

A bilingual interactive explainer that runs the control experiment most fly-brain demos skip. It rebuilds the 364-neuron giant fiber escape circuit from MaleCNS v1.0, pre-registers the pass criteria in timestamped commits, then tests it against four published electrophysiology results and reports that only one is reproduced: firing when the looming disk spans 34 to 37 degrees. Degree-preserving rewiring down to 40.6% intact moves that threshold by 0.11 degrees. The page also flags a bug in its own criterion code, where an absent response satisfied a test trivially.
