One shared MaleCNS v1.0 fly of 166,700 neurons plays Flappy Bird on a server around the clock, and the unusual part is what buys it a try: a configurable amount of a token's accumulated trading fees pays for one attempt. Each attempt is one sample of an evolution strategy over the descending-neuron readout, so the training budget is set by trading activity. The connectome weights stay frozen and only 13 numbers learn. The base project's hand-written flight rules are removed, so the flap decision reaches the game only through the neurons, and a bias-only control is kept with the experiments.
